Fissaggi Maracas Medium Sized with Hand Painted Island Design
The maracas are used as both percussion musical instrument that by shaking, where in the latter case, small items inside, emit a rhythmic sound suitable for the samba. Originally, they were made with pumpkin, which once emptied was filled with pebbles to make it generate the classic rhythmic sound. Today, they are instead of ovoid spheres of wood, with a handle and inside (not visible) there are pebbles to create the rhythm.
